About

Led Me Here draws inspiration from the songs ‘Girl from Katong’ by Serenaide and P. Ramlee’s ‘Nak Dara Rindu’, as well as murals found along Katong and Malay idioms. Led by performer Shaifulbahri Mohamad, the theatrical walking experience will reveal fictional vignettes of love – lost, found, and ever elusive.

These stories, spanning decades, are set against the backdrop of shops, architecture and murals of Katong. It is a meditation on our memories of a place, exploring what we leave behind and what draws us back, sparking contemplation on the essence of return and departure.
